Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I am posting for my mom. She has had a 1995 Ford Windstar since 1999. Its speedometer never worked. I work on cars every once in a while, with projects here and there, and would like to know if the speedo works on a cable or an electronic sensor like nissans. Also, if anyone can help me with directions on how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

The 95's use a machanical cable which has an upper and a lower.

What do you mean by "never worked"? The needle does not move? Both the needle and OD do not work? Do you have any check engine lights? Does the cruse work?

Post back and I can work you through this.

I replaced the speedo head on mine with a used one from the boneyard. The needle was doing the jumping thing.

No cruise, no needle, no odometer. Check engine light has been on for as long asI can remember too.
