1996 Contour Clutch problemFilGoulet 08-23-2005, 04:42 AM when the clutch is engaged, i still have problems with it slipping. does the 1996 contour have a hyrdaulic clutch?? or a cable clutch?? second, could this problem be the fluid being low or a snapped cable?? the other thing i was thinking was it needs an adjustment, however i cannot find anywhere that this can be done? if anybody knows how to adjust the clutch in this car could you please help?? Hydrolic clutch... its pretty much always going to feel like a new throw every time. But sorry to say, if your clutch feels like its slipping, chances are its time for replacement, unless of corse the clutch is new and it just started slipping... Then I would wounder if any fluid got onto the clutch... beyondloadedSE 08-24-2005, 08:21 AM could be a throw out bearing on its way out as well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
