ZC tranny or Si tranny??
SiRWannabe 05-05-2002, 07:11 PM I found a place that sells ZC's complete with the ZC tranny..so which tranny should I go with?? travis_118 05-05-2002, 07:20 PM if you get the ZC tranny you have to get new axels (89 teg intemidate shaft i do belive) but if you get the Si then you wont have to. (unless you have a std model civic) SiRWannabe 05-05-2002, 08:06 PM I have a 91 DX...also remember I'm canadian eh....will I need new axles then too? travis_118 05-05-2002, 08:17 PM Okay from what i hear is that the std and dx models have different hubs than the Si. So if you have a std or dx then no matter what tranny you get (zc or Si) you'll have to change axels. I have a std civic so i bought an Si tranny and Hybrid axels ( tranny side Si, hubd side DX) if you buy the ZC tranny you have to get 89 teg axels (think 89). SiRWannabe 05-05-2002, 11:22 PM alright...thanks travis Setanta 05-06-2002, 01:54 AM ZC tranny for better acceleration, grannymobile tranny for better cruising RPM ;) Mind you, RPM isn't an issue for me - I do 1600km trips ever few months and sit at 3900-4200 RPM @ 100-110km/h without it being an issue. Fuel consumption is 7.3l/100km so I can live with it - and that's with a Y1 tranny. AutomotiveHelper.com, Copyright ©2013
