I drive an Opel Calibra (91) in Germany, while my truck is in the states getting worked on.. The car idles too low, and sounds like crap.. until it moves.... Then it runs pretty damned well. (though I have to keep it at about 1000 rpms or it will stall at a light.)

I was surprised, but this car runs alot quicker than I expected, knowing Opels reputation for their older cars as being junkers.

So this loud Purple BMW with a Turkish guy in it pulls up next to me.. The beamer was all riced out with crappy whiteout lights and with a tinny sounding exhaust... I didnt even notice him, because I was talking to my girlfriend.. But he takes off like a bat out of hell to the next light.... and puts on his flashers! WTF?

So I am like.. fine whatever.. I will run it.. Light turns yellow (does that in Germany before it turns Green) and I take off and the guy can't keep up with me... Im at 110 KMH before I cut it and hes about a car length behind me.... I look over, shrug, and just ignore him because I had to turn. I guess his flashers stayed off that time, heh.

Guess I was surprised.. I never thought I had a quick car, but its been surprising me since I bought it from my friend for 800 bucks.

My two cents for now.. Cant wait until the PCM on my truck gets tuned.. Its pretty much collecting dust until I get a tuner.
