S/C Dodge Viper vs. Yamaha R6PWRDbyUNCLEbens 08-22-2005, 12:22 AM Me and my brother hung out today, and we drove around in his viper for a while. He has a Novi 2k supercharger, Hennesy Headers and Exhaust, 3:55 gears, upgraded brakes, 19" wheels, and some suspension work. 650whp and equal torque. Anyways onto the kinda race I thought would be worth maing a post on. Coming onto the freeway entrance we spot a yamaha motorcycle. We get behind him, and he pulls over to the lane on our right side. We exchange looks then we see him downshift waiting for us to go. 1st Race. About 60mph we go with him getting a slight jump, and we stay dead even to around 100mph, where he misses gear or something happened. We back off, and then he flies by us, and hits his caution lights. Whatever. 2nd Race. The guy with the R6 motions us to take our speed down to around 45mph. My brother kinda messes up, and redlines his 2nd gear in the beginning, but then he gets back on it after a brief delay, and we both stay relatively equal acceleration wise up to 110mph. Not the most amazing story by any means as the race kinda sucked. I just wanted to post something better then me racing a 99 silverado. Hopefully next time I ride along we can get a legit race against a 600cc. I personally think if we were to take the race up to 140mph we could pull him pretty good, but we'll have to wait for a real race. Igovert500 08-22-2005, 12:37 AM Well at least you had fun in a SC'd Viper...speaking of which, any chance you wanna swap brothers for a week or so? Sleepr awd 08-22-2005, 12:42 AM or lend him as a donor brother?
