timing 93 probe v6

hello need help in setting timing on my 93 probe v6 2.5 timing is 9to11 degrees but when distributor is turned timing stays :eek: the same does the computor control the timing or can it be set any help??

you have to go to the data link control by the battery you need to jump the "gnd" pin to the "TEN" pin and that will put the car in base timing then that enables you to change the inital base timing.....if you dont understand how to do this feel free to email me or send me a message

Pop the hood and look above your battery. There is a black small box that says Diagnotics.

When you open it the top inside of the cap has a pin diagram jump the TEN and either GRD with a paper clip and then turn the car on and adjusst timing.

Now remember the car controls ignition timing so your really only going to help the car a little the car will always correct it to what it wants once the car is running normally (aka without ten and grd jumped).

Don't forget to remove the paper clip with the car off when your done setting the timing.
