95 Escort LX Wagon with intermittant blower Probbkoval 08-21-2005, 04:38 PM The blower on my 95 WAGON seems to sometimes work and sometimes not at all. No ryme or reason to it. worked fine until summer, then off and on, then off for over a month, now it has returned to on& off. On occasion, it has been working when I start the engine, but then quickly cuts( 1-2 secs after start) Got any ideas? KimMG 08-21-2005, 05:37 PM Poor electrical connections or a failing switch. Check all connections and grounds. AzTumbleweed 08-21-2005, 05:50 PM When it's not working check the connection at the motor for power. If there is power and motor does not run then the motor is bad or the ground is bad. I had to replace my motor. It didn't quit but it was speeding up and slowing down. Wouldn't run the same speed. Rich 08-21-2005, 06:25 PM Check all of the connections like KimMG said. On my Escort, I was having problems with my blower being intermittant, and it turned out that my wiring was fried. The connections to the resistor and a good chunk of the wiring itself was burned. A trip down to Napa for a couple connectors, a few minutes of soldering and a few minutes cleaning everything up with a wire brush and its like brand new. :2cents: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
