Where's the drain on the radiator of 97 Jimmy 4x4?FATZsBBQ 08-20-2005, 11:09 AM Where's the drain on the radiator of 97 Jimmy 4x4? Let me guess? on the bottom. Yeah, yeah. I know that, but how the heck do I get to it? rlith 08-21-2005, 10:23 AM remove the skid plate (4 15mm bolts). Twist the petcock. FATZsBBQ 08-21-2005, 10:27 AM Thanks. I will now go out and drain the water out of my Jimmy. Bought it used and just noticed there is no coolant. Just water. I added a flush cleaning product and will now attempt to drain and replenish with coolant/water.. Thanks. rlith 08-21-2005, 10:42 AM Thanks. I will now go out and drain the water out of my Jimmy. Pull the heater core hoses and flush the heater core real well, more than likely you will have rust build up in there if all that was in there was water. Then use a 50/50 premix (unless you have RO water) to dump back in. That way you won't get contaminates from normal tap water. FATZ 08-21-2005, 12:10 PM I still can't find the pit cock. I took off the skid plat and I don't see one on the bottom of the radiator anywhere. rlith 08-21-2005, 12:50 PM I still can't find the pit cock. I took off the skid plat and I don't see one on the bottom of the radiator anywhere. It should have a hose attached to it. It is in the corner of the rad. FATZsBBQ 08-21-2005, 01:51 PM driver or passenger side..... rlith 08-21-2005, 03:52 PM driver or passenger side..... More than likely the passenger side, but depending, it could be on the drivers side... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
