My mom has a 94 Mustang Convertible, and she wrecked this morning. She hydroplaned going to work, and totaled the car. I was suprised at how little damage it had, cause she said she was going about 55 when she hydroplaned, and my gf's best friend was doing like 30 in her cavalier and hit another car it really tore it up. Mom's car isn't horribly messed up, just the front end and it knocked just about everything out of alignment.

If there was little damage, how did it get totalled? lol.

Anyways, I can agree wholeheartily on this point. Ran into the side of a State Trooper car a few months ago. I colided with his left side fender sending me off the road over a brick wall. The Radiator Support smashed the wall and sent my car airborne over, almost rolling sideways. I'd say I was going about 45 when I hit the wall.

The insurance company totaled the car (age - it's a 94 GT 5.0), but we bought the car back considering the engine was still flawless, the front end was still alighned and the rest of the car was immaculate. Alot of plastic and metal needed to be replaced and that was it. Ohh, the frame had to be pushed down on the left side, lol. We have it all fixed up now, all that's left is paint :-)

We're also suing the state of New York for property damage - yee haw, lol.
