I have a 1995 windstar that surges when the ac is on. The surge seems to happen most when the engine is still warming up. Anybody seen this and have a remedy I can perform myself

I have a 1995 windstar that surges when the ac is on. The surge seems to happen most when the engine is still warming up. Anybody seen this and have a remedy I can perform myself

This is just a guess: It sounds like the idle solenoid may be messing up. Any check engine light? How many miles do you have on it? You could try cleaning the throttel body and mass air. Also look and listen for vacuum leaks. Check all hoses.
