99 rapid clicking relaySteveLauben 08-16-2005, 11:20 PM hearing a rapid clicking from the fuse box under the hood. Pulled a clicking relay out and it stopped. Has been know to drain the battery. What position is the relay? This will tell a lot of what's causing the problem. Do you have a book that you can look up what each relay does in each position? If you don't have a book goto the Lib. and check one out. Also, Some Libs have ALL-Data available on their computer system. I would say.....(and this is without looking at a wire diagram) that there is either a loose conection between your computer and the relay or your computer is bad. You would have to look at a diagram and see if it's the computer that directly triggers the coil on the relay. Have you taken the bad relay's cover off and took a look inside? Are the points burnt?
