i just took the egr valve off my blazer and was wondering how to get the solonoid off the valve
it is a 1996 chevy blazer with the 4.3 w engine

It's a complete unit. Nothing to seperate. Just clean it out with throttle body cleaner in both port holes and stick her back on the truck with a new gasket after starting the engine to allow it to blow the crud in the exhaust headers out before re-installing. If you are certain that you need a new "valve" - you're going to have to buy the entire linear servo-motor/valve pintle as an assembly. They are not available as different parts. Sorry. :(
