98 HOnda Civic EX Replacing Remote w/out FCC #

Hello All,
I just joined this group. I recently bought a used 98 Civic EX; great car!
I also just lost my keys including HOnda remote fob. The manual for the remote has part number #08E51-S01-100-F. My question is this: considering that the dealer wants $120 for a new one, and there are used ones for sale on EBAY for about $35 but with part number 08E61-A01-1M1-01. Does anyone know whether these are compatible? The dealer says he doesn't think so. Thanks for reading, Bill

If its the factory remote, the fcc: A269ZUA106 (3 buttons.

If its a dealer installed Honda remote, its FCC: A269ZUA101 (has an option button)
