i have a 94 suburban with throttle body injection on a 350 gasoline engine. it starts every time perfectly, but stops in 2 seconds every time. i have changed the ignition module, rotor, distributor, fuel filter, throttle position switch, idle air control valve and fuel pressure regulator with no change whatsoever. i am running out of ideas, and so is the local autozone. any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you need a new fuel pump.

Is the "security" light flashing? I don't know if a 94 has the same system as my 99 but occasionally it will do as you described. It will start and then stop almost immediately. Not sure why except it thinks that I am using the wrong key or something??

I am thinking this is the problem - talked to knowledgable guy at autozone and reviewed schematics in haynes book - apparently, fuel pump comes on to prime when key is turned on and during starting, but must have signal through oil pressure switch to keep fuel pump (and engine!) running after starting - autozone guy says safety feature so when truck rolls over, fuel pump shuts off after oil pressure is lost (chevy thing) - I can jump in plug on sensor to test if is problem - only issue - where is the sensor? I can't find it, and haynes book doesn't say!!!
