99 ford winstar van is wanted to shut down while driven down the road went to have codes check to see what the problem was it said egr / both oxygen censors /injectors /misfires in all cylinders/low feul pressure/yet the van dose not skip and run very smooth except for when it trys to shut down completely when driven it down the road after 15 mins but cranks back up and keeps running fine for about anther 30 min then dose it agian could the computer be failing in giving bad codes at the same time

Post the raw code numbers.

Sometimes one or two malfunctions can cause multiple codes.

For example the low fuel pressure could cause the misfires and the oxygen sensors (assuming that it is a lean code that you are referring to.

I think step one is solving the low fuel pressure which is not really an OBD2 code but proper fuel pressure is essential for correct operation.

Have you replaced the fuel filter? If yes you may need to look at the pump.

Well virtually all 99s eventually get the 171/174 codes. These are often considered to be O2 sensor related but in reality are most often caused by leaks in the intake. There is a TSB for these codes but it does specifically state that there should be no other driveability issues. You obviously have other drivability issues so you may or may not decide to investigate this one first. This forum is full of posts explaining this repair. Search under , 171/174 or isolator bolts and put a pot of coffee on as you could be reading for a few days.

Is the P041 actually P401? If so this could be the DPFE (If I remember correctly) The DPFE is another common problem on 99s. It is easy to check. Search under DPFE and there are procedures to check.

It could be that your EGR is actually stuck open causing rough low RPM operation.

Misfires can be caused by clogged EGR ports. The procedure to fix the intake leak allows one the opportunity to unclog the EGR ports. There is one port per cylinder. Usually some of them clog and the balance of the EGR flow goes through one or two cylinders causing misfires.

Try pulling off the vacuum to the EGR. Plug the hose and see if that improves things. If so then you have EGR flow or port problems.

If you are patient, handy and determined you will be able to solve your troubles and most likely you only have 2 or 3 issues and these issues are causing all of the codes.

Do a bit of investigation and post back. There are several really good and helpful people on this forum and we all love to help.

When you get a bunch of codes on a '99 or later, on an inconsistent basis, I think three things:

1. Relay for PCM power (likely). Replace just to make sure.

2. Relay for fuel pump (less likely). Replace just to make sure.

3. Damaged power train elect harness. (affects a low number of '99 - '01's. You may be an unlucky owner). Requires removal of wiper arms and cowling in front of windschield. Inspect harness where it is routed near the ac tubing on firewall. Repair as required.
I advise everyone with these models to do the inspection.
