98 Escort with bad air problems

I am hoping someone can help........I have a 98 Escort and the aircondtioning just stopped getting cold. We have tried recharging it but with no luck........any help would be appreciated......Thanks

My experience: The orifice valve was clogged. (AutoZone stocks them).
I put TOO MUCH R134a in. Make sure you only put in the amount on the label under the hood.

orifice valve ????? where is it on the car or what does it look like??? Does it have a plug in?

Don't know where it is on a '98. On my '93 it's where I've circled in this picture.

if its blowing hot air its probably the multi function relay.its under the battery and contains 4 relays.one is for the a.c. comp.
