1999 Jeep GCL has 81,000 miles has been serviced on Quadra Drive with Chrysler oil change every 40,000. Have noticed a noise from rear on hard turns left and right, moaning noise. Straight away, nothing but smooth running and no noise. Have been told clutch plates on Quadra drive will create a noise on hard turns but pose no mechanical threat. Can anyone elaborate on this? Also has anyone had these clutch plates replace, can you share cost and where you had the service preformed? Thanks...

It sounds like the Differential Side and Pinion Gears may be worn or damaged. First check the fluid level. Then either add some if needed or have the differential checked out. I would take it to the Dealership or a REAR END SHOP.
