My AC termostat is start to act weird. It says 50F (Ext) when it's really 80F+ hot outside.

I hope this won't effect the AC operation when I need it.

I had the same problem, and I heard to try pressing the mode, defrost, and rear defrost bottons at the same time after turning the key to the on postion and this resets the temp sensor, it worked for me. good luck

My '02 LTZ had the exact same problem last year. Ended up having to change the sensor, located in the upper right corner of the grill. (as viewed from in front of the car.) Easy job, took about 30 minutes, no problems since.
Good Luck.

Let me 2nd how simple a fix this is. I don't know squat about cars, and can do even less. And it took me 15 minutes to swap in a new sensor. The hardest part (which took me 5 minutes) was locating and detatching the old sensor (behind the grille on the driver's side).

Part cost me less than $20 from my dealer.

I tried the three button push and found it took my outside thermometer from steady 50 degrees to -39. Hope this resets soon.

I did the three button push and it took the thermometer from 50 to -39. I know it's not that cold in Las Vegas. Any suggestions?
