downeys's lsd's and tougher cv joints

Does anyone have any info on downeys limited slip diffs? the truck is my daily driver so im thinking of going that way instead of lockers or maybe arb air locker? any info would be great.......also what about heavy duty cv's? mine are clicking and if im gonna replace them i was wondering if there is anything better out there thanks

Downey just reboxes other mfgrs hardware and sells it at a higher price.
If you want a locker or LSD decide which of the many types you want, then shop around on the net for that one. Or get it from the shop you're going to have install it.

You can't beat the ARB

thank you for the info...arb's are what i want ..does anyone have a good website that offers them and tells the price? besides arbs website which is rather sparse on pricing...also is it true that when a LSD has one wheel off the ground the other wheel that is on the ground has zero drive? thanx

That's the characteristic of an open diff. A LSD should lock-up as soon as the wheel in the air starts to spin and provide equal power to both wheels.
