it's a 99 CBR F4 with Blue Flame exhaust.

I will say that I'm not a fan of the scorched cans, but it looks great on the blue.

Sorry, I don't have any recent pics of my bike. Its a black & grey 2001 GSXR 1000. I removed the decals from the tail, upper, and the 'Suzuki' from the lowers. It looks a lot cleaner than stock. I put a PC3r and a Yoshi RS3 oval ti slip on system on it. The motor is still stock.

I'm too lazy to find the pic of "my" bike right now, but it's a bone stock 2001 BMW F650GS Dakar. My brother and I want to put yellow ground effects on it, though.

Btw: the CBR looks tight

What is the use of making my bike look any better than it is right now. I have a 98 CBR 600 Smoking Joes Racing Edition. With a full Yoshimura exhaust, and a stage 3 jet kit. And a K&N air filter. Can't do any custom paint because the paint scheme already kicks ***. And the stickers alone are priceless...

Still no camera, but I really don't need one. My bike is black- hence the Honda nickname Blackbird:D Most mods can't be seen other than the 2Bros shotgun exhaust I have on it. I'm shopping for a camera and will take some pictures of it at a Hooters. You need a nice background for when you take bike pictures;)

this is my bike...

a 98 Seca II, 600cc makes about 60hp stock. Its nothing too exciting, it'll do about 130mph... which is plenty fast for the street.

Im sure some Hayabusa owner is just saying... only 130?... 130? Hell thats only 3rd gear for me!

Doesn't feel it at all, IMHO, but I've never been at the controls of anything but my GS, and the Kawi Eliminator 125 for the MSF course. It is VERY turn-happy, but only if you're looking ALL THE WAY through the turn. It's really shaky otherwise, where as my GS supported my bad habit of road-watching.

Slow turns will show its weight to you, I had my friends out for a spin through the twisties and it rode quite well, but at slower speeds the weight difference between my bike and his was evident.

Why not a F4i? The VFR actually makes more power then the F4i. Eitherway, girls on sportbikes is just sexy.

It's my dad's ride. I'm bikeless this year b/c I'm broke, so I'm riding his. It's hella better than the BMW F650GS Dakar he had before it. ;) I'm eyeing either an F4i or the "new" Kawi 636cc for next year. Probably buy at the end of this season or EARLY next season.

The 636 is just plain out crazy, not only does it has some very hot lines, the bike has been running low 10s all day at the strips lately. Now Kawasaki just needs to overhaul the 7R, and hopefully bring out the 10R everybody has been waiting for.

I'm just hesitant b/c I've never been much of a Kawi fan. :o I've always been with the Yammis, Honduhs, or Suzi's... Just kinda unsure of a company I've never really dealt with before, ya know? I would go for the 636R instead of the RR b/c I don't want that GAWD AWFUL green. I want blue. :D

I think I can beat all of you. Here's a picture of my 1977 JAWA Transistor 40.
Mods include: rust spots, muffler held on by bailing wire, duct-tape+rat trap rear fender modification (not shown in this picture) & tail-light help on by zip-ties. It used to have a homemade muffler too.
To sum up it's performance (and that of all Jawa mopeds ever created)
"That's just how Jawas are. Some days everything in the world is right, God smiles down on you and the Jawa, and you'll be going better than any other moped out there. Then sometimes the Jawa magically 'un-tunes' itself and you're 4-stroking horribly and can't get over 17mph."

Kawi is just like all its japanese auto counterparts. I have a 93 vulcan 750 that since I have owned it has only had to get its carbs rejetted and electrical connections sanded. Otherwise aside from regular services like oil changes and brakes that I do myself, I have no gotten any problems ever. And even after 10 years, the little vtwin still pulls to 9500rpm (odd for a cruiser no?). And I have several friends who own the ZX12r, and that bike makes mine look slow after first gear (and with the muzzy big bore custom blocks, makes specced busses look slow). My impression of Kawi is a very good one, however I am sure it is not like that 100% of the time, but I would recommend them just as much as any other jap bike company aside from Honda.

Still looks really awesome. I just wish Aprilia wasn't so expensive in the States. :( Is the size restriction til you're 20 an age restriction, or is it set-up for you to be restricted to 250cc for a certain number of years of riding experience?

Deakins
04-21-2003, 09:31 AM
It is, but goverment taxes doesn't make them particulary cheap here either.
It's an age restriction. From you're 16 till you're 20, you get a restricted licence, so you can't drive anything bigger than a 250cc.
But you can't get a full licence without having had a restricted license for two years.

Well after 2 years of exhaustive research, tear down and rebuild time. Not to mention wrangling with Kent Riches from Airtech for hours to get the colors for the graphics, my baby is FINALLY done.
It is a 1996 YZF750 with a 2 mm over bore, ported and polished head, Mikuni flats, Racetech prepped forks, brembo brakes, fox shock, carbon fiber tank and front fender, Airtech TZ250 Aero tail, PIAA pencil beam headlight, custom LED tail light, various Attack bits and pieces and a few custom items here and there.
Special thanks to Mike Cortez from Digital Graffiti, Kent Riches from Airtech, LP USA, Attack Racing for giving me permission to use the color scheme, my brother and a whole butt load of my friends.

This is my life for the past 2 years and hopefully will be my enjoyment for a while to come.

Zltful
05-05-2003, 12:14 AM
107 peak hp at 10,870 rpm
72 ft lbs at 8,700

weak numbers until above 4,500 rpms but from there on the graph shows a pretty straight climb with no major valleys in either number.

hmm horsepower is a little low it seems, however the torque is quite nice, maybe a new can?

Zltful
05-05-2003, 10:20 PM
Here are the kickers:
1. Carbs haven't been synched.
2. "Stock" jetting for a standard YZF750
3. Can has full baffles and packing(thats being changed as we speak)
4. K&N Pod filters
5. *I* think the cams were installed one tooth off.

These things combine to suck the HP life right out of the motor. Next run I'm praying the torque stays strong and the HP jumps to about 140-150 range. The YZF750's were only 90 to 95 hp motors in stock form. We'll have to see what happens when these issues get ironed out.

On a side note, I took her out for a short ride tonight and even with a few things out of whack am still amazed at what it will do. I had thought about just buying a new R1 or something similar but after going to the local bike night and seeing roughly 30 of them up there, along with countless GSXR's of various displacements, R6's out the yang, and more CBR's then you could beat off with a stick, I decided I would do one of two things...1. get countless tattoos and black leathers and buy a Harley, or 2. Do something noone else around here has done with a sportbike and make a street going repli-racer. Thats the one I decided on and we will see this thursday at bike night whether or not I made a good call.
