Need Lots Of Help!!!!!!!!Taurus_SHO 08-10-2005, 02:21 AM My friend has a 2002 Altima 2.5 S witn 120k kilometers (70k miles). Recently he wound it to 6000rpm and BLEW the piston to peices :uhoh: , distroyed the head, gouged the cylinder wall and TWISTED A FORGED CONNECTING ROD :eek2: , I unno how he did that. So now he needs a new motor (QR25DE) need to kno where to get one cheap NOT NISSAN (want $4000 w labor, $2300 for the motor). Car is on his father's lease :banghead: , so he doesn't want NISSAN to kno about it. The 2.5 was a fun car till it blew up. JustSayGo 08-10-2005, 11:29 PM My friend asked, "Is it insured against fire and theft"? Taurus_SHO 08-10-2005, 11:31 PM I wish i could torch it but sadly no. JustSayGo 08-10-2005, 11:38 PM Taurus_SHO 08-10-2005, 11:43 PM Hey guys heres links to the pics The head http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b322/brian15116/40ef28c1.jpg And the close up of cylinder #1's head http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b322/brian15116/977cf731.jpg Gettin the cylinder wall and remainder of piston assembly tonight. ENJOY!!!!!! JustSayGo 08-11-2005, 12:41 AM Nice pic's. No doubt it was turning a little more than six. Then the intake valves touch the pistons, bend a little and then each time the valve seats it bends the valve back and forth until it breaks off. Look for little marks on the other three pistons. Taurus_SHO 08-11-2005, 12:43 AM did no marks but puttin a new engine in it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
