Major Electrical Problems

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I have an '86 4runner, that has the typical power window problems. My rear window would go up with the key but not move down, fortuneatly the switch in the center consol worked. I was going on a trip with my 4runner, when my passeger window wouldn't work, so I quickly took off the door panel to see if I could find any lose wires. I didn't, and figured that I fix the problem when I got home. This is where major problems started. I then went to role down my rear window and it wouldn't work, after frantically trying to retrace what I had done, I finally thought about looking at the relay for the rear window. When I used my tester on the relay, I got the window to work, as I applied the ground to different resistors. Satisfied that I could get away with that for a little while, I decided to hit the road. However as soon as I pulled out on the street, I noticed that my turning signals weren't working, and that my dashboard gauges weren't working either, with the exception of the speedo. The drivers side window would also not work, and it has been dependable for the last 4 years with no problems. I thought I would take it for a quick spin to see if I could find any other problems, but my truck died, like it had a dead battery.

I am wondering if there is a master fuse that I might have blown when I was tinkering with the wiring? If so where might I find it and replace it? I chech the fuses behind the kick pannel and them all seemed to be fine, I also had a quick look at the ones under the hood and they looked fine as well. Any ideas or sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

hmmm, sounds like that relay might have messed up when u were tinkering with it, or a wire might have come loose in the wireing harness. maybe even a blown fuse. ive had a few problems similar in my 86 4runner.
