ac losing chargexxjojoxx 08-09-2005, 11:29 AM Well thanks to Beachcrawler i got in touch with George regarding my transfer case.. But now i have one more problem, my a/c is losing it's charge about after a few days & it's not cold at all. Should I just bring it in to a mechanic to test it? How would I know if it's the compressor? Thanks all fredjacksonsan 08-11-2005, 09:43 AM You could always refill it with a marking dye, and then see where it is leaking out. Godzilla.vs.Jeep 08-13-2005, 04:54 PM How do you know the charge is lost? Have you checked the pressures on the system? IF you need to add refrigerant every few days, you've got a major leak. Unless you have the know how and really want to work on this yourself, you're far better off just taking it in for a test and repairs. IF you can sweat it out until winter hits the service might be cheaper... IF A/C compresor clutch engages and stays on, compressor is likely working fine, system just has a (big) leak. xxjojoxx 09-14-2005, 10:08 PM How do you know the charge is lost? I'm sweating it out for now.. i'll wait for winter to have it serviced.. So i must have a BIG leak. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
