Video of Dyno and Burnouts..Vettribution 08-09-2005, 10:36 AM I have been having issues with posting this video, and this one is the lower res and crappy version.. The better one is 7 MB, and I still havent figured out where to post that one yet. I would GREATLY appreciate any help with figuring out where to put my better video and future videos so i can share them. I havent really posted in here about my own truck yet, because its a work in progress, and I am embarrassed that I am STILL stuck at 98 miles per hour as my top end. (I will spank you to it though! :) ) The dyno and burnouts are about 3 months old. The I-5, being a brand new engine takes some time to get things rolling. I have been waiting months for anyone to make a tuner, and have been working with HPTuners specifically. *If I am lucky, they say the tuner should be complete within the next couple weeks... which will not only allow me to slap that 98 MPH speed limiter, but also allow me to tweek another potential 20-50 HP safely.* Lord knows that 390 HP isnt nearly enough. Im sure I have a limit in the number of views, but it will suffice temporarily. http://geocities.com/retributionx13/ So.. I have a backlog of my own little streetraces and experiences.. this is just the belated introduction to me, myself and my truck. *Note: The last actual burnout left 185 ft skidmarks, before having to let off the pedal.. This turbo is almost instant power. No lag rocks. -The Stig- 08-09-2005, 11:55 AM sweet flip888 08-09-2005, 11:24 PM Wow thats pretty awesome, but you have 390 hp with only a 98 mph? whats your ET? -The Stig- 08-10-2005, 05:18 AM Wow thats pretty awesome, but you have 390 hp with only a 98 mph? whats your ET? The Surgeon General never said it was hazardous to your health to read... ;) *If I am lucky, they say the tuner should be complete within the next couple weeks... which will not only allow me to slap that 98 MPH speed limiter, but also allow me to tweek another potential 20-50 HP safely.* Lord knows that 390 HP isnt nearly enough. Vettribution 08-10-2005, 10:56 AM 390 Hp to the wheels, but the Colorados have no tuners or programmers for the I-5 yet.. Which is why I am stuck at the default 98mph... The truck will not run the 1/4 mile until the tuner is complete. I know it will run over 98 easily, so why waste my time and money? -Jayson- 08-10-2005, 03:05 PM thats pretty sweet man. But are you sure HP tuners is making software for it? I know right now they are working on the 4 cylinders for GM. I thought they said they would look into making tuner software for it, but hadnt started anything yet. Mr. Luos 08-10-2005, 03:12 PM How did you dyno it if you are limited to 98 MPH? Vettribution 08-12-2005, 01:09 AM How did you dyno it if you are limited to 98 MPH? Well here is the link to my cardomain page... I have the dyno there... Keep in mind its an automatic when checking it out. (shrug) http://www.cardomain.com/ride/811544 2000LS1Z28 08-12-2005, 02:10 AM Cool vid. Is that 390 whp, cause i'd expect the truck to move alot faster then that then. Still an impressive truck. Kinda reminds me of the Cyclone from the 90's, but w/o the awd. Yes, thats 390 RWHP..Take that and put it on stock tires of just about any vehicle with a normal RWHP of 175-180 and see how quick they move. Not a very good quality video...Also one of the first runs after the turbo was installed. That truck has stock tires on in the video, which takes away from traction.. which is why there was 180ft+ rubber trail to mark the spinning of the wheels. With the proper traction, it EASILY moves MUCH quicker. Mr. Luos 08-12-2005, 08:14 AM Well here is the link to my cardomain page... I have the dyno there... Just seems to me that you would have to dyno in second gear, otherwise you would hit the speed limiter on the dyno while in 3rd. Not calling you on anything, just trying to figure it out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
