Knock Sensor Questiondavid-b 08-07-2005, 12:12 PM Ok, when the knock sensor detects a large amount of knock, the ECu retards the engines, dropping some performance. Now, my question is, I had to take out my knock sensor awhile back, and the block got stripped. The sensor is barely in the hole. Going through the book, it says the sensor really needs to be tightly in there. Would the fact that the sensor isnt really in there cause the engine to cut back alittle? I don't get a CEL from it, and the sensor checks out ok. It's just not too good in the hole. Thanks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
