I have no spark and I need to know if anyone knows how to test a ignition ignitor. I bought one at a junkyard and the truck started twice and died. I lost spark, so a test of the ignitor would be helpful.

the distributors on the v-6 3.0 go bad quite often more than the ignitor

In general, you don't test ignitors, you replace them and if it fixed your problem, it was the ignitor.

Usually you replace the ignitor when nothing else is left as the possible culprit.
