Tranny Question:
1998. cav. How do I tell what speed it is?? 3-speed auto or 4-speed auto.
It HAS a dipstick. and it says in the manual that you can only check 3 speed's with a dipstick but I think i can hear it shift through four gears.
please lemme know asap as I am replacing the fluid and filter.

Add approximately 4 qts. (3.8 L) of DEXRON®III or IIE automatic transmission fluid to the transaxle through the dipstick tube.

if you gear selector says 1-2, its a 3 speed, if it says 1-2-3 its a 4 speed.
