94 v6 4runner timing belt replaceefitz 08-05-2005, 03:03 AM my water pump/ thermostat went out so im replacing them. was going to try and just remove without disturbing the timing belt but belt came off the upper pullys and now am thinking about changing the belt. bought the chiltons manual but it doesnt really help with installing a new belt. it shows a tensioner spring but i dont have one on my motor. any ideas or point me to literature that can help would be appreciated Brian R. 08-05-2005, 10:27 AM efitz 08-06-2005, 03:18 AM http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/engine/67timingbe.pdf This is a huge help. It is way better than the Chiltons manual i bought. Now i just need to buy the specialty tools that are recomended. any idea if they sell these at auto supply stores like napa or carquest or should i go to the Toyota dealership.....
