O.K. so im pretty sure my radiator needs flushed, theres got to be a blockage somewhere. My question is, is this something that I could do or is this a job for a mechanic. I dont have a garage area to work and only basic tools.

If you have a garden hose and a screw driver you can do it. If you are worried about animals getting into the antifreeze or the environment, get you a good sized drain pan. Go to the parts store and get some cooling system flush (I like prestone myself, it's in a yellow bottle, but I'm not getting any advertizing $$$ from them so buy whatever) Then drain the coolant out (this is where the drain pan comes it, or just draom it in the driveway that's what I do), just pop off the bottom radiator hose or use the draincock. That radiator hose is faster. Make sure the truck is cool, never do this HOT!. Add water and the recommended amount of flushing chemical and follow the directions on the back of the bottle. Should take about an hour or so. Have fun, good luck and DON'T GET BURNT!
