This is my first post. I have a 94 grand am 3.1, 126,000 miles. It's been overheating and leaking coolant out of the cap. so i replaced the cap and had my friend replace the thermostat, and when removing the hose all the coolant sprayed out every where. when he replaced the thermostat, he took off the throttle body. After he did that and put everything back together and now it has no power. i have to basically have to put the pedal all the way down to the floor to get to accelerate and when i do it, it takes for ever to get it to move.

What whould be causing it to do that? Should the airflow censor be cleaned?

Thanks for your help in advance.

could be several things. Check all the wire plug in's around the throtlebody area. Might not be tight or to tight ie. cracks aleakin. is the thermostat is the right way? that wouldnt cause lose a power though.... somethings probley lose, if it still leaking, some pontiac V6's leak along the back of the intake around the thermostat area. a few leads for ya , hope it helped \,,/
