Purchased used.
The engine and trans have less than 50,000.

I can't push the accelerator down very far until it warms up. It almost feels like the accelerator pedal travel is being temporaily limited until it warms up. When I try to force the accelerator the shifter moves "all by itself" to neutral and the engine then revs. I then drop it back down to drive to contine on but the problem is still there until the car warms up and then it's fine. Someone told me that it could be a motor mount but am not sure since the problem goes away when warmmed up.

One additional item: As a precaution since I don't know when the trans fluid was last changed I would like to change it and the filter. Do I have to adjust the bands or can I leave it alone since it shifts fine.

I appreciate any advice.

Thank you,
Chris
