Hello All,,I just recently had a no shift and no speedo problem with this Trans Sport ,,after changing the VSS and the modulator and fluid and filter I reset the ECM and it ran good for about 20 miles or so then it slowely started to miss and lung,,It did this in park as well as down the road,,I noticed the tach would jump when the engine missed so naturally I replaced the module under the coil packs and replaced the coils as well ,,it got a little better but still does it going down the road sometimes,,not in park but intermitently driving it,,,If I let up on the gas at shift points and run easy it doesnt seem to do it but under load it does it alot and you can hear the engine ping a little while it does it,,almost like someone is unplugging the coil,,Please help I am baffled!! lol, Thanks!!

This sounds like a bad plug wire or spark plug. I have had similar problems with a Chrysler van and a Ford Escort. In the van it was a bad plug and in the Escort had to replace the coil and plug wires. Remember a bad plug wire can make a coil go bad so if your coils were bad then the plug wires should be changed to as the wires may have been the cause of the failure.

Thanx for the reply,,This is what I thought as well,,and would make sense as the engine does run better but with a slight miss or lung only under a load. I will change the plugs and wires and post the performance. thank you for the input!!
