Hello, i am new to this forum and would like to ask you all a question about a wierd problem i have with my Suburban. I have a 2004 Suburban 2wd, when i shut the engine off, i noticed a pressurized gas sound (sizzling) coming from the evaporator for about 1-3 minutes long, and the water does not drip out of the drain tube like it should, it spits out the tube like it is being boiled. My AC works fine with no problems. I have had this problem since the day i bought the truck, i now have 11k on it, originally the service writer had told me it was normal, but i know that it is not. I have an appointment with another dealer this coming monday and would like to see if any of you guys have an idea at what this problem is. ANy help would be appreciated...Marco

I don't know how much you know about A/C systems, but what you are most likely hearing is the refrigerant equalizing between the high and low side of the system through the oriface tube. It's normal and not a problem!
