94 blazer 4.3 4x4 really hard to start?? danrhem@cox.net 07-31-2005, 11:32 AM
I have had this truck for about a year and i love it. Never had any problems till now. Since I have owned it i have replaced the plugs, plug wires, air filter and oil filter a few times, pcvalve, fuel filter, belt, fuel pump, battery along with a few other things. I took it about 6 months ago for an emmisions test to get my tags. It failed. Bought new gas cap and took it to a shop to have them test it. Mechanic told me "I hate these trucks the timing is so hard to get right, but this should do it." Still not really sure what he did but i know it was a timing adjustment. He told me to drive it a whille and then have it tested again. So i did and it passed with flying colors. BUT it has been running eraticly since then. After the engine has warmed up I would be going down the highway at about 60 and the revs would shoot up like the engine was cold. Well now it wont start unless i pump on the gas pedal and keep trying. Once started i t runs same as before. Any help here would be much appreciated. Thx Guys! danrhem@cox.net 07-31-2005, 03:35 PM Any moderators out there that can help. LT. sombody????? paulson 07-31-2005, 04:23 PM Does it have enough transmission fluid in it... I know when my blazer was low on transmission fluid I'd be driving fast and the revs would go way up and then they'd come back down...
