my 1990 3.1 lumina died on roadcel314 07-30-2005, 06:58 PM Hi guys, new here--I have what I narrowed down to be an electrical problem, ( I think? ). My car died on the road, had it towed home. I have little time to work on it, but here's the list of the stuff that I replaced---crankshaft sensor, map sensor, knock sensor, egr, temperature sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, ignition module, coils, plugs and wires, injectors. I just took a test light to the injector connectors, there was no power. Now what do I do? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ( by the way, the car will try to start and run when shooting starting fluid in the trottle body. ) GTP Dad 07-30-2005, 08:00 PM You should have posted in the Chevy forum and not Buick but it sounds like your ECM has died an untimely death and will need to be replaced. If you add fuel and it starts to run then you most likely have a fuel problem. This clearly points to: Fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, pressure regulating valve. Can you test the fuel pressure? If you have fuel pressure(need to know exact PSI), then we can look elsewhere. When did you replace all this stuff? Just for this repair? YIKES!
