On Ebay, the speaker compatibilty check reveals that a 5 1/4" fits my back doors is this true? Has anyone done this?

I have a 2000 silvy ext cab and i put 5 1/4 speakers in the rear doors you just have to drill new holes to mount the speakers. other than that it works.

I thought they were 4x6's......

Takes less than 5 minutes to remove the door, better safe than sorry..... Mine are 4x6 in the 2001.

every onei have ever taken apart are 4x6's and i have made brackets to make 4 inch fit.

yeah I ordered some brackets from crutchfield to fit my 4" MBQuarts in back doors.
