My 01 Explorer started idling high recently and it doesn't shift as smoothly since the idle changed. The check engine light came on when this started. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Error Codes?

The reason it is not shifting smoothly is because it is idling high. Go have the engine code pulled it could there are several possibilities.
