anyone got'em? Big difference?
Where you get them?
I just got a refund check from Hoerr Racing (shipping was great, support sukd) for a set they couldnt sell me because they were too clueless to tell me if they sent me the right set or not.
They had a real hard time comprehending the fact that I have a '00 Tahoe with a 5.7L. Since it's the same BS i run into all the time at the parts store, I knew it was coming. I'm out $16 in shiiping on the 2 sets i had to send back to them, but oh well. Whatcha gonna do, ya kno.

Stainless steel brake lines are kind of a debate. the only applications i know are racing and off road. The difference between S-Steel and Rubber is that the S-Steel inner hose is a white teflon hose that wont expand under heat and pressure. the down side to steel lines is if their are in fact "racing" they are made to be replaced once a year or so. since you might be putting these on a daily drive that could be a bad idea. If your vehicle is for off-road the beifit would be protection form rocks and other debris but if the steel is allowed to rub it will rub right thru anything, also dirt that gets between the metal and teflon can make the teflon fail. other than that stainless steel lines are great ;)

it's not really for either one, but if it were either, it would be off road. This is the family vehicle, so we're not going to be doing to much racing or offroading in it (that's what my jeeps for). It really kinda sux cause it IS a Z-71, but it's my wife's and wellllllll. It's really not a fight i wanna have, when I wouldn't even have to wash my jeep when i get done were I to use it instead.
What I'm going for is replacement of breaklines on a used vehicle (89K). I was completely disgusted with the stopping distance of our Tahoe when we got it (remember I drive a jeep). So I'm upgrading everything I can. I've done the Kev-Mat pads and drilled&slotted rotors, BFG ATs. I'm wanting the SS lines to reduce as much pedal as possible. Breaklines are one of the more vulnerable components in the whole system, and if a rubber one were to break, the whole thing goes to sh1t pretty quick. Not a good scenario for vehicle that's carrying everything i've worked so hard to have and love. I dunno, i figure it's a good $130 to spend.
Once I can secure some SS lines, and do a break job, I'll start on the back drums.
