What have you beat on the street.HXMan 07-22-2001, 01:17 PM It has been a while since I have been to AF, so I figured I would start a cool thread. My kills: 1. 5spd 2000 audi A4(with the guys G/F in car) 2. 95 two door golf with turbo kit. (that was awsome) 3. 90 V8 Firebird 4. Turbo Eclipse Automatic 5. Modded 98 Z24 5spd 6. Jetta GLX VR6 5spd 7. Many civics..... 8. Etc.... My losses: 1. 95+ Z28 So far my hybrid has not let me down...I love it. JD@af 07-22-2001, 07:05 PM My kills and losses to date have been insignifacant hogwash. In about a month or two, I will be starting a new, very ambitious list of kills.. and perhaps a couple losses will make it onto the list as well (but I doubt it ;) ). By the way, question about your A4 kill. Is that the 1.8T or 2.8? The 2.8 is a much more significant kill. In any case, nice job, and keep 'em coming! HXMan 07-22-2001, 11:46 PM Yep...it was a 2.8 5spd....the guy sure did think he was going to beat me. He was laughing, talking to his G/F or wife, and tightly gripping the steering wheel with his left hand....he took me off the line, but once my car stopped bogging at around 6000 rpms I was gone. Moments later I slowed down and let him pass me, I tried to give him the thumbs up, but he would not look at me! JD@af 07-23-2001, 05:39 AM How sad.. some people are such sore losers. I can't wait to trounce on some big guns like 911's, NSX's, and such. I'll probably have some assholes trying to run me off the road!! :D HXMan 07-29-2001, 02:06 AM Hell yea, chalk up another V-Dub.....Jetta 1.8T.... Once again, VTEC coming in at around 4k rpms really hurt me...he was pulling till I hit 6 grand...then I pulled really hard on him, and once through second it was all over.....ah sleeper. It is the shit. HXMan 08-02-2001, 10:19 PM Doesn't anyone have any kills? Any dragstrip kills? I got a few. JD@af 08-14-2001, 06:09 PM Soon, my friend. Soon. The parts assembly is almost complete. I finally get the ported cylinder head, along with the B&M FPR and six-puck ACT clutch next week. At that point, the completion of assembling every component needed for my machine will be marked (with exceptions like spark plugs and a new SC belt), except for the exhaust. Unfortunately, seems all the big racing gurus get their needs tended to first, so it is seriously looking like well into October that I should expect to see my new exhaust finally arrive. But I got ALL the rest. With a little luck, I build it all in two weekends (off to do some hard core white water rafting in West Virginia this weekend). And you know that six puck is made for the strip! I'll be hitting it. HXMan 08-14-2001, 07:46 PM Great to hear man. It is about time, seems you have been waiting forever! Post some kills up soon. If anyone else has any feel free also. JD@af 08-15-2001, 08:22 AM ;) Forever doesn't even cover how long this seems like it has been. I took off my JRSC.. I think the last weekend in January!!! How's that for a long time? justin@af 08-15-2001, 12:10 PM Well, My kill list is pretty long, but i'd have to say my best one would be a mustang GT, don't know which year, wasn't a new one. But then later i got killed by a newer GT. I think its time to go FI. JD@af 08-15-2001, 01:16 PM Right on.. you're not pulling any legs here, are you? That would be awesome if you're serious. You know that few (very few) things can beat a turbocharged H22A. Racing Rice 08-21-2001, 01:23 PM I almost beat my shadow once.. but then the sun came back out and it spanked me.. Its not much fun racing in an almost stock EX... Wait till I get some boost then hopefully I can add to this list.. PFCfutrell 11-04-2001, 03:39 AM I don't much like to race on the street, getting more mature (NOT:flipa: ). I was egged into racing my friends little brother driving a '97 Eddie Baur V8 AWD Explorer and I won even though I had less than half the engine. He got a little jump off the line (AWD vs spinning tires) but my lead kept getting bigger as I rowed through the gears. I was a little worried because we raced from a traffic light going uphill! I thought him having three times the torque might counteract my advantage of weighing half as much. Oh well, it was a planned race on a three lane road with no traffic so I don't feel too bad about breaking my rule. I don't advocate street racing, especially in traffic, but occasionally it can't be avoided ;) so try and have some common sense and be safe! GOD 11-04-2001, 08:27 PM 1. 2000 hybrid Si I/h/e vtec controller 2. 1996 Mercedes E320 3. 1998 SLK 230 Kompressor 4. 1998 V-6 rustang 5. 1996 rustang Gt 5spd 6. 1996 nissan 300z non turbo my only loss but i loss to this car 3 times 1995 Z28 camero :( 6spd I also noticed me and Hxman got something in common :( Cavallino 11-04-2001, 09:10 PM You dont beat much in a stock civic ex but i relish the few victories i have which include *riced out saturn (i have yellow racing seats and a tip on my exhaust so my cars fast) *fake mustang (you know, the ones with that lovely v6 and automatic transmission) and my favorite--- *porsche boxer (i really dont think it counts as a race but i made it to the next light faster than him):frog: Integra-F20C 11-05-2001, 02:25 AM a few kids on scooters and a some old granny's crossing the road..:D F20C 11-05-2001, 02:43 AM For some reasons every Honda wants to race a S2000. I stop at red-light then cars beside start reving their engine. dubolox 11-17-2001, 11:04 PM OK i have a ? for JD@af, what "911" do you plan on beating. I mean let's be real here, a Porsche is a serious car... it's not an economy car tying to be a sports car like the rest of us, it's a "supercar" I'm not on this forum often, but a Porsche will beat 99.9% of hondas on the road, unless you have some serious ponies and serious weight reduction you'll get spanked. yellows2000 11-18-2001, 03:02 AM Originally posted by F20C For some reasons every Honda wants to race a S2000. You could be right.. and then again so could I. I am getting ahead of myself, but if things go according to plan, I'll have the ponies as well as the horsepower to weight ratio in my favor. It will not be easy.. but it would be so damned cool :ylsuper Reptile 04-12-2002, 05:12 AM My old 1989 Honda Accord LX-i never lost to a ford. I beat ever mustange i came acrost. a few GTs but the main fun was those slow as hell 5.0s. Like i said it never lost. I will however admit i did pick and choose my battles but when it was a rustange i almost never backed down. G@#D#%^ I miss that car !!!!!!!!!! The new 89 LX aint shit compaired to it. Reptile 04-12-2002, 05:29 AM My old 1986 Honda Accord LX-i always beat the mustanges. I never lost to one. The GTs were fun but i enjoyed the 5.0s the most. It killed more of those than i can count. G!&D@#$ I miss that car !!!!!!!!!! The new 89 LX aint shit compared to it. But it does have 212k on it and it was a perfect match for a new grand prix se. The one with the larger engine in it. I talked to the guy after the race and he was all non shalont like it didnt matter but then i talked to his wife and found out the whole time he had it floored and was cusing cus he couldnt believe a 12 year old honda with that many miles on it could be a match for his shiny new car. I'm talking 115 down a 2 lane road with oncoming trafic, and that was still when it had a busted motor mount. Once i bet some money put into this car im going back down there again and im going to WOOP HIS ASS! If i had still had my old 86 there wouldnt have even been a contest. I admit this race was a draw but i race to see what other cars can do agianst mine and also just for the fun of it. Half the time i dont even care if i win i just do it cus its fun. Though when the snoby punk flew passed me at like 95 ( i was just cruising at 70 ) then i did care. After that i catched up to him and it was on. I can say that about him cus he is a spoiled little brat of a step-uncle and i was glad to give him a little taste of reality. Hondas Rule! tynebeach 05-06-2002, 07:43 PM I know this is a little late, but these are the kills ive had with my 88 accord LXI and all 120 ponies :bloated: __________________________________________________ _ 1) Two "chromed out" Jeeps 2) A Ford Probe (had to prove american cars sucked) 3) Countless Mustangs (we have and infestation of them) 4) Multiple Grand Ams (Hate those things) 5) Multiple Grand Prix (Hate those too) 6) Dozens of those Neons __________________________________________________ _ I swear to god some people just really want to be spanked. I know my car's not that fast, but every night I swear I get the Neons and the Grand Ams revving their engines. They think they can beat me, but even my 14 year old car can trash their newly made american piles of crap. streetnightmare 09-19-2002, 12:31 AM if anyone knows if its possible to drop a H22A engine into a '91 integra please email me @ stlucianruffryda@aol.com:bandit: FREED0MFiST 09-25-2002, 03:05 PM My kills are: pontiac bonneville se riced out 94 civic dx geo spectrum toyota tercel toyota truck right now ive only been able to race my friends, who all have crappy cars, because my car is too slow for some real competetion. tynebeach 09-25-2002, 03:11 PM yeah, pretty much the same here :D FREED0MFiST 09-25-2002, 07:40 PM Yeah my only friend with a modified car can beat me last time we raced. He has a 92 integ w/ i/h/e, and he beat me by a car length last time we raced. We were on our way to race when i got my intake on too see if it made a difference, but he wrecked his car on the way there, so now we'll never know haha. tynebeach 09-25-2002, 09:08 PM what  how'd u reck the car/ I have to say If i ever get a heavily modded civic like i'm hoping for in the future and I crash it i'm just gonna start killing people :bloated: FREED0MFiST 09-25-2002, 11:17 PM alright this is what happened. We were looking for a place to race, and we found a pretty good one so i pulled over and was like "alright lets turn around an line em up"... so we're turned around and driving up the road to line up and right as i hit my breaks to slow down a GTO tries passing us and starting shit like revving and all that.... i was unaware of this so i started slowing down. The kid behind me in some SUV was looking at the GTO, so he freaked out and slammed on his breaks... my friend who i was going to run against has some bald ass tires, so he slid straight into the back of the SUV. Smashed up the entire front end of his car. That isnt even the worst part though... the worst part is 2 weeks earlier he crashed his teg into a semi... so his dad whos works in a body shop repainted his car and put on a custom 3000gt vr-4 bumper on his car. Two days after he was done this happened. Then some jerk offs had to stop and call the cops... we werent goin to say anything since we were all friends, but now hes facing like 10 moving violations. Oh yeah, this all happened at the track ;) tynebeach 09-26-2002, 03:34 PM man that's really too bad. At least you got to see a GTO though, those cars are insanely awesome FREED0MFiST 09-26-2002, 07:58 PM yeah it really would have sucked ass if he crashed it was an awesome car. Midnight blue with white racing stripes, gages on the hood. He was damn fast too. importEater 04-03-2004, 05:24 PM You can talk about beating Mustangs all you want. I have a 1986 Mercury Capri with the Ford 5.0 and a 5-speed tranny. The car is almost 20 years old, nearly stock, and I still eat Preludes, Spec V Sentras and Eclipses for dinner nightly, though Hyundia Tiburons are my favorite. You can WRITE about smoking crapped out Mustangs, but you're going to have pay more than your bluebook just to do it. The only asian imports I fear are S2000's, Evos, a few WRX's and the new Z (and Supra turbos of course). You civic and accord drivers might want to look into a different hobby or else start with a faster car. J_Swigz 04-03-2004, 08:53 PM You can talk about beating Mustangs all you want.
