my 92 started overheating today and we found out it was low on water and oil. We let the car run a while and then noticed an oil leak around the timing cover #3 where it connects and faces the front of the engine. Can a valve cover leak run oil down into this area?

Figured it out. The camshaft oil seal was loose and I could take it in and out easily. Replaced that and the timing belt while I was at it. No more leaks!

Do you have the duel or single overhead cam engine? The timing belt was easy enough to replace?

It is dual overhead cam. I have changed it twice so it was easier. The biggest thing is to have a breaker bar to loosen the crankshaft pulley.
