Need Advice RE: Dealer treatmentJTRelaxing 07-25-2005, 01:18 PM I bought 4 AR Ventura 636 wheels for my S-10 in May 2005 and only recieved 3 of them. UPS lost one of the wheels and I've been trying to get action ever since. E-mail request go unanswered and phone calls are blown off with "We'll get back to you" statements. I'm sure I'm being ignored due to my "flaming" behavior during the early comuniques. Any advise? Dealer is Barre Tire doing business as L.A. Wheels located in Barre, Vermont. Their internet site(www.barretire.com) looked good and prices were decent at first look. Second look after the fact proved different. Shipping wasn't free as I misinterped due to the way it was presented. I just feel lost in how to get refund or wheel and shipping which is already paid for. The ironic thing is at the time of loss, a UPS driver was arrested in the community this wheel was last tracked. He was selling items on e-bay that he had been stealing from route customers. He had almost 5000 items in his home. Yeh, I was dumb for getting mad but the systems inplace for help are lacking and being ignored sets up the hair on the back of my neck and a "smart mouth" just got flamed! oldengrey 08-02-2005, 04:03 PM Your beef is with UPS, not the tire dealer. Request a shipping receipt that shows the number of cartons shipped from the tire store. I'd think 4 rims = 4 cartons. Or if he combined rims, go by weight, take 1 rim, weigh it, multiply by 4. allow for packing mat. If the dealer can prove he shipped all items, and it can be verified by any proof, you are definitely raggin the wrong people. You say "UPS lost one" Why didn't you get insurance for the extra $10 or whatever. JTRelaxing 08-02-2005, 08:54 PM UPS was hired by the shipper and refuses to deal with me direct. UPS goes so far as to say the shipper has been notified. I've called the "shipper" twice since first post and get the same reply, "we'll check it out and get back to you." Does anyone know of a site that warns prospective customers of unfair businesses encountered online? I tried BBB and my case was closed because they couldn't deliver the complaint, "returned unopened", no such business. I used the information found on "Barrtire" internet site when I filed the BBB complaint. oldengrey 08-04-2005, 08:22 PM I'm not being nosy, or want to come across as a know-it-all, cause I ain't. Do you have the UPS tracking number. It should be on the shipping label. Every time I've or the other party used UPS, UPS would email a tracking #. see if there is a discrepancy at a transfer point. they log it coming in, they log it going out. You apparently are getting the run around by the seller for whatever reason. Contact your local District Attorneys office and explain the situation. This amounts to internet fraud, or the least that could happen is they rattle a cage or two, and tell you who to contact. Don't even bother with the seller or UPS till after you talk to the DA. This is what I would do. Just tryin to help. ModifiedCars 08-05-2005, 01:37 AM Sue UPS :D JTRelaxing 08-06-2005, 04:13 PM Called Barretire Friday and they said they had just recieved paperwork from UPS and wheel is being shipped. Got the tracking number that evening. Don't know if I'll recieve it but my fingers are crossed. Now that it's on it's way, I guess five months ain't so bad, NOT!!!!! oldengrey 08-10-2005, 05:23 AM Glad to hear you at least got it resolved. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
