fuel gauge

I have a 96 626, I have done alot of work from a-arm to transmission. It seems the little problems kill me. My fuel gauge isnot working, I checked all the things I could think of and now I need help. I would appreciate it.

Does the fuel needie gauge move at all when ur drive'n?? if not try 2 fill up ur tank all the way up & when ur done take ur cluster cover after u remove it.. turn ur key 2 ACC ON (that make ur gauges lights up) then move the needie 2 the full tank all the way past the letter (F)....see how that work 4 yeah..post back soon... GL
