66 caprice 4 door considering salemarcie 07-23-2005, 01:35 AM I have a "66" 4 door, hardtop, electric windows, with air conditioner. In decent shape. Drives fabulously, I am considering selling, have only come across 2 for sale anywhere- one empty and one show. Are caprices un-desirable for classics? Advice/Opinion? Thanks PeteA216 07-23-2005, 01:55 AM My opinion/guess is that at the time, Caprice's weren't very spectacular, and were just another car like the Impala, and Bel Air. So, very few were preserved, and were all mostly treated as just a car, so instead of restoration, they were just junked, and then crushed. Caprices seemed to peak in popularity in the late 80's and early to mid 90's until they were discontinued. I've noticed that there are much less Impala's around from the 80's than there are Caprices. This is just my theory. bobss396 08-02-2005, 07:34 AM Where are you located? I'm interested, those are nice cars. I had a '66 Caprice years ago with the 396 and nylon fabric interior.
