Being VERY unfamiliar with fuel injection, I was wondering if there was a way to idel that sucker down? It seems to idel down some after it gets hot, but just not enough.
And no I have not looked for an idle screw as yet, I'm lazy and it's been to dang hot. ;-P
I just wish it had a Quadra-jet!!!!!!
I'm thinking of sliding through stop signs this winter if I don't get this sucker slowed down. LOL

Best thing to do is spray into the fuel injection with carb cleaner. I have done this to see if my fuel problem is fuel pump if you read any of my posts. Seems to have helped my other car and it's high idle doing the same thing you seem to have.. Just remove you air cleaner housing and take a srdew driver to loosen the huge hose clamp that is holding the air cleaner hosing to a large hose. Once you have that off loosen the other or next hose clamp farther in on the same hose. Spray into that hose opening a couple times. If you decide not to do that get back into your quadra- jet hot rod and slide in the snow with that instead. LOL
Hope this helps. Nothing more than a couple bucks a can and a screw driver and about 20 minutes.

I'm assuming you have the 5.7 with TBI. Don't play with the idle screw when you do find it.. lol...

Look at all your vaccuum hoses to make sure they're not cracked, split etc... Then check the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) for correct values. You would also be prudent to make sure the temperature relay/switch is working properly and your thermostat is opening at the proper temp. Any one of those could cause the ECU to compensate for their faults.

Right now I'm dealing with a crazy problem on a G20..

you should also check the idle air control valve located on the right side of the carb beside the tbs, it or the TPS can cause a high idle. That is if you have a TBI carb.
