Oldsmobile Radio Head Unitd3adr0ck 07-21-2005, 10:02 PM I am planning on replacing all of the speakers in my 2000 Alero 2dr coupe. I just bought this vehicle used, and am really happy with it except for the fact that the stereo sounds terrible. I get a discount on Boston Acoustics Car Audio since I am employed with a retailer. My question is, does anyone know the specifications of the factory stereo the car is equipped with? If I can get away with just installing new speakers 4x6 in the front, and 6x9 in the back that would be ideal. I have no idea what the head unit sends out power wise. Please someone let me know. Thanks. Joe - "New Alero Owner" :) indyextremecustoms 07-28-2005, 02:04 AM The head unit is rated at around 25w/channel RMS. This is what they told me at an olds dealership. and yes you can get away with just replacing your speakers. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
