shifter cable bindingMPetz 07-20-2005, 10:25 PM I have a 94 civic lx i just picked up. It"s been sitting for 6 months. The main problem is the shift cable on the auto trans is sticking going into and out of park. The shift lever and cable inside the car move free and easy, so it has to be binding somewhere along the cable or in the transmission. Any one have a similar problem or solution? Thanks Mike QUICK_EG_B16A 07-20-2005, 10:34 PM Not To Sound Like An Ass But Just Convert It To A Manual, There Easier To Work On Anyways. therealrayman 07-21-2005, 10:40 AM quick, thats a dumb solution, do you know how much a tranny conversion can end up costing??? Alot, depending on the car, trust me. Not to mention the manual you put in can cost more than the automatic when just discussing parts. for a swap (besides labor) you'd need. Transmission clutch disk flywheel pressure plate pilot bearing throwout bearing shifter inner/outer boots clutch cylinder clutch lines slave cylinder power train frame speedo cable Not to mention all the tools, along with modifying your car to fit an extra pedal and shifter stuff for inside the car. QUICK_EG_B16A 07-21-2005, 02:59 PM well, :banghead: true or false: it would solve the cable problem though! MPetz 07-24-2005, 09:34 PM well, :banghead: true or false: it would solve the cable problem though! Hey thanks anyway solved my own problem. artcnun 09-04-2005, 05:52 PM how do i remove shift cable from my 1991 honda accord dx please help me with this problem vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
