Haven't been here in awhile..but I figured only time would tell.

1996 Pontiac Grand AM Se, 128,000+ miles, 3.1L.

Anyhow, my owner's manual only shows SOME of the warning signs. I saw one that looks close to what I'm seeing, but not exactly. I was wondering if someone knew what this warning sign is/was....

It's a square shape, with a cap on top, waving lines, and an arrow pointing down. I'm thinking low coolant. So, my cousin added water into the tank. Do I need to add water onto the radiator, as well? Or is this a warning light for something completely different?

If it is the coolant, do I need to drain it, and add antifreeze, instead? I live in Pennsylvania, and it's very humid here, so I was thinking that maybe the water is evaporating too quickly, and that it would be best to go with the antifreeze. Just a theory.

Also, is it ok to drive it for a few days, without there being damage?

is the head of the arrow triangle shaped, if it's round then that would be coolant temp warning light
