Can anyone help me out with transmission problems with my Impreza RX 02 (MY03). Automatic transmission 'clunks' sometimes when going back in gears usually from 3rd to 2nd.
No specific circumstances under which it does it. Just very annoying!!
Anyone have the same problem or know what might be causing it??

have u checked the fluid level? that would be my first guess

What's the mileage on the car, I've only witnessed a clunking auto trans on higher mileage transmissions.
DB's advice is good too, check your fluid level.
