galant tail lightsmac42 07-12-2005, 08:37 PM I have a mitsubishi galant 1995, no matter what you do the tail lights will not go off. Even with the car off the lights turned in the off position they will not go off. the only way to get them off is to pull the fuse under the dashboard. I checked the fuse an it is ok. I am baffled, if someone has an answer please let me know. mr bishi 07-13-2005, 07:45 AM try checking for a bad earth if the switch supplies an earth to work them and its getting one from somewhere else it will think its switched on mac42 07-13-2005, 12:31 PM I'm not sure what you mean by bad earth? Do you means a bad ground. Where would you check for this problem? mr bishi 07-13-2005, 05:00 PM ye its the same thing, you would need to find out if the switch supply the earth or a live first slacker_53 08-13-2005, 09:00 AM earth?? ground in the US. If you have a bad ground, the lights WON'T work. You have power coming from a bad switch. Are you sure that it's not your brake lights that are staying on? That would be the result of a bad brake light switch. Bad 'earth' won't cause your lights to stay on. benmartin 11-27-2005, 07:38 PM i also have a 95 mitsu. galant i had the same problem. pull the bottom dash around the stering column. there will be a few connectors,it is white, and only holds a few wires. unplug the connector ane it will be solved,it worked for me vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
