I drive a 95 civic dx. Before you start laughing, it's also an automatic, makes we want to cry sometimes. Anywaiz, it has a cheap intake, Dc headers, and a 5zigen fireball catback exhaust. I think for being a Dx and having only 102 hp at the flyweel my car isn't bad. But do you guys think my car can beat anything?

Try racing a Huffy;)

maybe my 40 hp 1975 volkswagen beetle. Be careful though. sometimes bugs can be fast as hell. I met a dude with a 10 second daily driver beetle

my friends mom has a ford aspire you should be able to beat that. well it is a five speed so it should be a good race:D

ive beaten many a car in my crx dx with 91hp, so its not impossible.

a parked car maybe.

J/K I had the same problem before I had my engine swap done. I did beat a guy in a beat up escort when I had my DX engine. :)

nah it had an airesearch turbo and something like 430 hp

no. Not really. It's a civic dude.. I've since given up on my '92 Civic EX.. it has intake and exhaust, and it's stilll a dog. Only thing I can take in my car worth talking about (and you probably can't in the automatic DX) is the previous generation V6 mustangs. Those things are DOGS.

You could take a few cars I bet. Most of these would need to be auto tho for you to win.

Mazda GLC / 323's (My old one was 84hp stock)
Ford Tempo
Dodge Aries
Chrysler New Yorkers (without the turbo)
Chevy Sprint (without the turbo)


Thats a list of a few. Im sure there are tons of others.

Watch out for the Suzuki Swift (aka Geo Metro). LOL, at the races everyone made fun of him cuz he basically hooked up a Geo Metro, and he'd get pissed when we called it that. "Naw dawg, its a Swift." I don't see how that is much better, but he did smoke a bunch of hybrid Civs and a Hybrid Integra who claimed he had a GSR engine with a "CRX computer" afterward. Same crap he pulled earlier when he lost to my friend's Grand Am GT. What kind of idiot would swap engines and put in a nasty computer? And if it is a good CRX computer then he shouldn't have talked about it negatively. LOL, his pipe was so big that the engine couldn't even put out enough exhaut at idle so it sounded like it was teetering on and off. Anyway, the Swift was impressing all the ppl until he went up to a Z28 and Ford Lightning that set him str8. He got burned the worst of anyone that night.

i have a 93 dx with i don't know what cuz i bought it used. but i took a 2003 toyota corolla 5 speed once. and he takes his friend in a 2002 civic ex 5 speed and keeps up with some si's

dont dog on the geo metro it has some good purposes for example my friend hit 146 db's in one at an SPL compatition without dynamat or any capacitors and only used 1 amp... so think about it
